In 1978 I contributed to the book ” The Ingenious Mr. Pedersen” and the small updating booklet .” More of “The Ingenious Mr. Pedersen”. Since then so much new information and photos have appeared from the result of years of research of his personality, family, life in England and Denmark , that now a huge Mikael Pedersen archive with information and photos has been collected here.
It gives the source material for a book of his biography in Danish now under preparation.

In 1977 his grave in Copenhagen was discovered and in 1998 his grave was opened and his mortal remains was brought to Dursley and interred now with a gravestone in black marble with golden inscription. The re-burial was carried out by the local bishop and the town mayor, attended by several members of his family, friends, and owners of original Dursley Pedersen bicycles from all over Britain with attendance of the Danish and British press, BBC and TV .and representative of the Danish Embassy as well.

This is not the end of the story. In October 2005, 16 members of the family and friends set out to Dursley to celebrate Mikael Pedersens 100 year's birthday at the grave with attendance of the local town officials, local press and many owners of original Dursley Pedersen cycles from all over Britain . A separate Mikael Pedersen exhibition was opened at the local museum, where a collection of photos was sold on CD.
