"The Ingenious bicycle construction of Mikael Pedersen was all forgotten outside the closed circles of bicycle historians, when in 1978 as a village blacksmith in Christiania the hippie district of Copenhagen, I decided to bring it back on the street.
A golden orange from the golden period of bicycle inventions had fallen in my hippie turban from a great Dane in bicycle heaven.

After 28 years and some 6000 Pedersen bicycles later spread over 25 countries. It seems my working life has found its dedication and I am looking forward to the coming years, in bright comfort ."
